A luxury tour including a safari at Mala Mala and a week in Cape Town and the Winelands

A safari is invariably the highlight of any trip to Africa and this 12 day tour allows you to spend 3 nights at the new luxury Mala Mala Rattray Camp in the world famous Sabi Sands Wildtuin. Continue on to the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town where you will stay at the Cape Grace which is situated in the Cape Town Waterfront. This hotel is centrally located allowing you to explore the Waterfront and its shops and restaurants. After 4 nights in Cape Town you will be transferred to the pretty village of Franschhoek where you will spend your last 2 nights at the luxury Le Quartier Francais Hotel.

Day 1 – 4 : Mala Mala

Welcome to South Africa ! You will catch your South African Airlink flight to Mala Mala. This one hour flight delivers you straight to the Mala Mala Airstrip where your ranger will meet you and transfer you to Mala Mala Rattrays Camp. This camp is the latest addition to the Mala Mala collection of lodges and is luxury personified. Each of the luxury suites has its own private plunge pools, lounge areas, decks and the signature Mala Mala his and hers Bathrooms ( to make getting ready for early morning game safaris a breeze !)

Lunch awaits you on your arrival. After which there is a chance to unwind and settle into your suite.

Your afternoon and evening game drive commences at about three thirty at which time you set out into the reserve in hot pursuit of the wildlife. You ranger will teach you all about the animals and provide you with an interpretative bush experience, making your safari come alive.

At about sunset you will stop for sundowner cocktails, after which you will continue on a night game drive, searching for nocturnal animals with the use of a powerful spotlight.

Dinner is served in the Boma on your return to the camp. Your ranger will join you for dinner.

The following morning you will have an early morning wake up call, followed by a quick breakfast before heading out on your morning safari. After your safari your ranger will bring you back to your camp for a well earned breakfast. If your up for it after breakfast you will have an opportunity to do a bush walk.

After breakfast and your bush walk your day simply repeats itself with plenty of time during the day for you to relax and enjoy the camp.

Day 4 – 8 : Cape Town

This morning you will enjoy your final morning on safari before checking out of Mala Mala Rattrays Camp and being transferred back to the Airstrip. Your South African Airlink Flight departs at about midday and you will arrive back in Johannesburg just after one thirty. On arrival at Johannesburg you will catch a flight to Cape Town.

On arrival in Cape Town a representative from Rhino Tripping will meet you and transfer you by road to the Cape Grace Hotel. Our slick black Air Conditioned vehicles assure that you arrive at your destination in comfort and style.

The Cape Grace Hotel is the perfect hotel from which to explore Cape Town and its surrounding areas. No tours or activities have been included in this package during your time in Cape Town, however speak to your Rhino Africa consultant about adding these into your package or perhaps including a car hire. These can be tailormade to your individual requirements.

Day 8 – 10 : Franschhoek

This morning you will be collected from the Cape Grace and transferred by air conditioned vehicle to Franschhoek. The culinary capital of South Africa, there are many fantastic restaurants and wine bars to enjoy in this area. Franschhoek has some beautiful vineyards and you can enjoy wine tasting in any number of beautiful areas.

For your stay in Franschhoek you will be staying at the beautiful Le Quartier Francais. This boutique hotel is situated in the heart of Franschhoek Village and is a member of Relais and Chateaux Hotel, its restaurant ‘ The Tasting Room ‘ recently winning the restaurant of the year award in the prestigious Eat Out Restaurant Award.

Day 10 : Day of Departure

Today you will be picked up from Le Quartier Francais and transferred to Cape Town Airport to await your onward travel arrangements.
