Despite what you might read or think, the Okavango Delta makes the perfect year round destination. The key to planning your trip to the Okavango lies in choosing lodges that allow you to experience Water and Land Activities throughout the year. The Okavango Delta is one of Nicci Brand’s favourite destinations and in this itinerary she has selected two contrasting lodges that allow you to experience all that Botswana has to offer. - Fly from Johannesburg to Maun from where you will be flown to Camp Moremi – a small ‘ land activities’ camp in the heart of the Moremi Reserve.
- Spend 2 nights at Xugana Island Lodge a water based where you enjoy Water Activities including Boat Cruises, Mokoro Rides , Walking Safaris and Fishing
- Enjoy 2 nights in Chobe National Park at Chobe Game Lodge
- Your trip ends with 3 nights in Victoria Falls at the picturesque Ilala Lodge where you can enjoy adventure activities or simply relax and unwind
Day 1 – 2 : Johannesburg Airport On arrival at Johannesburg Airport catch the courtesy travel bus to the Mondior Concorde a short 5 minute drive from the airport. This simple 4 star hotel makes the perfect base to rest up from your international flight. With ample hotels to choose from in the complex, we don’t deny this hotel is a little ‘ glitzy’ but we guarantee you will get a comfortable nights sleep ready for your adventures the next day !

Day 2 – 4 : Moremi
This morning you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight to Maun. This flight leaves at about 10h00 and you are scheduled to arrive in Maun just before 12h00. On arrival at Maun you will be transferred by a scheduled charter to Camp Moremi. Camp Moremi is a charming camp in the heart of the Moremi National Park. Enjoy game drives in the Park during your 2 nights at Camp Moremi. The camp manager will orientate you to the camp when you arrive and assure you that you do not miss anything.

Day 4 – 6 : Okavango Delta
A final morning on safari at Camp Moremi before being transferred by Boat through the Okavango Delta to Xugana Island Lodge. In our opinion this is on the prettiest ways of enjoying the Delta. Xugana Island Lodge sits proudly on an island on a lagoon in the middle of a permanent water section of the Okavango Delta. Year round you can enjoy Boat Cruises, Mokoro Rides, Fishing Trips and Walking Safaris.

Day 6 – 8 : Chobe National Park
Another day and another lodge. Today you will head north to the Chobe National Park and spend 2 nights at Chobe Game Lodge. The only permanent camp located in the Chobe National Park, the Chobe Game Lodge is ideally located to explore the Chobe Park either by Boat or Vehicle.

Day 8 – 11 : Victoria Falls
This morning you will be transferred the short distance from Chobe Game Lodge to Victoria Falls and the Ilala Lodge. Your base for the next 3 nights in Ilala Lodge a charming Hotel in the centre of the Victoria Falls.
Victoria Falls is commonly regarded as the adventure capital of the world. Its here you can enjoy Bungee Jumping, Bridge Swinging, Zip Lines, Walking with Lions, and Elepahtn Back Safaris. Or – if you prefer, simply relax, sit back and watch someone else do it !

Day 11 : Day of Departure
You will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg, from where you will connect with your onward travel arrangements.
