You don’t need to drive, you don’t need malaria pills and you don’t need to lift a finger during this four-day safari to Madikwe Safari Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve – one of the most scenic parks in Africa. The game reserve has the ‘big five’ plus cheetah and wild dog so you may well get to see all of Africa’s famous big game in the wild within a few short days.
Sun City is an hour and a half away if you want to combine your safari with some razzle-dazzle entertainment.

Day 1 – 3: Madikwe
From Joburg Airport, your air conditioned minibus will transfer you to
Madikwe Safari Lodge, about fours hours, yet in time for lunch, a dip and a doze.
Your safari is as active or lethargic as you want it to be: you can go on game drives, bush walks, visit the game viewing hides and partake in the Lodges activities; or you can read a book by the pool.
Game viewing in the beautiful park is excellent with both black and white rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and a plenty of plains game.
Day 4: Joburg
After breakfast – and a game drive if you’ve been up early enough – you will transfer back to Joburg and the end of your superb Pilanesberg safari.
