Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – 2 : Oudtshoorn

Pick up your car from Budget Car Rentals and kick off your Garden Route adventure taking a leisurely drive up the N2 to Swellendam and continue over the scenic Tradouw pass over to R62. Feel free to pop in at any of the little farming towns along the way. Once you arrive in the quaint farming community town of Oudtshoorn take your pick of some exciting activities such as exploring the beautiful Cango Caves, visiting the Oudtshoorn Wilderness Center to see some fascinating creatures and even going to the Oudtshoorn Ostrich farm to learn all about these quirky creatures and maybe even ride one!

Day 2 – 4 : Knysna

Wake up, enjoy breakfast, bid farewell to your Rosenhof hosts and head off to the famous Knysna! From Knysna it is a mere 15 minutes to Plettenberg Bay, just in case you need more to do! Go whale watching, in season, in a boat off Plettenberg Bay, explore the many hiking trails of the Tsitsikamma Forests, take the ferry-ride to the Featherbed Nature Reserve and have a gentle guided walk or go bird-watching by canoe up the Keurbooms River. If none of that grabs you then try the 'Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe' steam train ride, visiting Monkeyland – a huge open-air sanctuary for rare primates or get your adrenalin pumping with the world's highest bungee jump at Bloukrans. Or you can just enjoy the fresh air, fine dining and of course, relaxing at your comfortable accommodation ! You will have two nights at Knysna.

Day 4 : Day of Departure

This morning you will depart from Knysna and drive back to Cape Town.

Alternatively you can continue further up the Garden Route and continue with a safari ! Speak to Kyle or your Rhino Africa consultant about the options available to you.
