Self-drive from Johannesburg (JHB) Airport to the Kruger National Park where you will stay in a luxury tented camp situated on a private concession within the park then fly to Cape Town where a shuttle service will transport you to the intimate and stylish Cape Heritage Hotel for 4 nights.

Day 1 – 4: Camp Shonga, Kruger National Park
In the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains is the intimate bush retreat of Camp Shonga. The guides at Camp Shonga are dedicated to an ethos of sharing their vast knowledge of the varying eco-systems with guests to ensure an all-round safari experience. This does, of course, include exciting encounters with the famous Big Five. You get all the advantages of a private safari at an affordable rate that includes all meals.

After arriving at Johannesburg International Airport you will collect your Group B hired car and take an easy, scenic drive to the Kruger National Park. The journey will take you approximately 5½ hours. The drive is a very easy, straightforward one and it’s a great way to see the surrounding Kruger areas and get a feel for the vastness of South Africa. Your Rhino Africa consultant can recommend the best scenic places to visit if you wish to explore the area before starting this tour.
Upon arrival at the Kruger National Park you will make your way to the Crocodile Bridge gate and make your way to Camp Shonga where you will spend 3 nights in a luxury tent. The camp accommodates just 10 people in five spacious tents and is an excellent choice for families as children are welcomed and well catered for. Open vehicle game drives allow you to experience close up sightings of Africa's Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo with professional rangers and trackers. Another highlight of your stay at Camp Shonga will be a walking safari where an experienced ranger and tracker will lead you on the ultimate bush experience where you may have the opportunity to track one or more of Africa's Big Five and enjoy the abundant birdlife, fauna, flora and insect life.

Day 4 – 8: Cape Heritage Hotel, Cape Town
After breakfast and your last early morning game drive, you will return your car to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) which will take you approximately 2 hours. From KMIA you will catch your flight (not included in package rate) to Cape Town.
A shuttle transfer service will take you to the next part of your adventure - the Cape Heritage Hotel situated in the heart of South Africa’s ‘Mother City’.
The Cape Heritage Hotel is a stylish yet cosy 4-star boutique hotel and is an ideal location from which to explore Cape Town’s abundance of attractions and activities. Cape Town is one of the most interesting, diverse and vibrant cities in the world. Amongst the endless array of activities that Cape Town offers, you can explore the city centre, Robben Island or take a cable car up Table Mountain. Alternatively, Rhino Africa can organise private tours, car hire and day trips for you to the surrounding areas such as the world famous Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands areas or the Cape Peninsula.

Day 8 : End Of Services
