Namibia is a country of many beautiful places, some stark and dry some lush and green. A drive from one end to the other could see you pass through desert, riverine forest and coastal dunes. Gareth has driven the whole country "stukkend" (broken) as he puts it. As an expert on travel in Namibia, Gareth has put together this tour which encompasses much of this beautiful country and includes big game viewing, magnificent vistas and superb accommodation.
Day 1 - 4: Windhoek - Sossusvlei
Pick up your hired car at Windhoek airport and drive yourself to
Kulala Desert Lodge. Kulala is situated in the sossusvlei area of Namibia, which is known for it's vast open plains, massive stark dunes and rugged mountains. If the heat of the day gets to much, relax in the pool or in the coolness of your well appointed room.
As with all our tours, we emphasize that these are just guidelines. You are welcome to choose a different hotel, a different route.. a different country. Just
ask your travel expert to help you make those choices.

In Swakopmund you can expect moderate temperatures and exciting days. Don't relax to much here, you will want to try sand boarding, para-sailing and a four wheeler excursion. And when you get tired of fun in the sand, why not try some water based activities. Take a boat out to see dolphins, seals and whales or even try your hand at fishing.

Check out at The Stiltz and drive yourself to the Damaraland area, there you will check in at the

Bleached blond grass, stunted trees, wild-mustard bush and occasional acacia thickets and hidden somewhere in their midst, the elusive desert elephant and the seldom seen and very rare desert black rhino.
