Departing daily from Johannesburg, our 5 night Sossusvlei Adventure departs daily from Johannesburg. This escorted tour allows you to discover the Namib Desert, including Sossusvlei, Dead Pan Vlei and the Sesriem Canyon. On arrival at Windhoek, you will spend a night in Windhoek. Situated in a beautiful valley bordered by the Eros Mountains in the North and the Auas Mountains in the South. Windhoek has a relaxed atmosphere which combines the modern city architecturally style with that of the German colonial era.
From Windhoek you travel Southwards via the Spreetshoogste Pass and Solitaire into the Namib Desert which is the oldest and driest desert on earth. You arrive at your accommodation in time to enjoy optional activities including scenic nature drives and walking trails. The following morning you have an early start and a full day to explore the Namib Naukluft Park, including a picnic lunch under an age old Camelthorn Tree. After 2 nights in the Namib Desert you return to Windhoek for an overnight prior to your return flight to Johannesburg.

Day 1: Windhoek, Kalahari Sands Hotel
Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport you will check in for your British Airways Flight BA 6275 departing from Johannesburg at 12h00. You are scheduled to arrive at Windhoek at 12h55 (Namibian Time). On arrival at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport you will be met by a representative who will welcome you to Namibia and the start of your Namibia Safari adventure.
You will travel by road to the Kalahari Sands Hotel, where you will stay for one night. The afternoon is yours at leisure to explore
Windhoek on your own. The city centre of Windhoek along the Independence Avenue can be explored on foot. View the Tintenpalast (“Ink Palace”) inaugurated in 1913, which houses Namibia’s parliament. The adjoining park with their extensive manicured lawns and shady trees is a popular site with locals and visitors. Well known is the hero’s acre an important icon of Namibia’s democratic era

Day 2: Namib Desert, Namib Naukluft Lodge or Namib Desert Lodge
A final morning in Windhoek before departing at lunchtime. You will travel southwards, via the scenic Spreetshoogste Pass and Solitaire into the Namib Desert, the oldest and driest desert on earth. On arrival at Namib Naukluft Lodge or Namib Desert Lodge you will check in. The lodges both offer a variety of optional excursions which may include nature drives and walking trails, you will arrive in time to partake in these activities if you so want.

The following morning you will enter the Namib Naukluft Park at sunrise and watch the first sunlight turn the dune desert into a picture of stark and almost extra terrestrial beauty. Travel down the Tsauchab River Valley to the famous
Sossusvlei, a clay bottom pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. The energetic traveler may wish to climb a sand dune to experience the endless vistas across a sea of ever changing coloured sand. Enjoy a picnic lunch under age old Camelthorn Trees before you travel back to your overnight accommodation,via the Sesriem Canyon, made famous by its fascinating rock formations.

Day 4 : Windhoek, Kalahari Sands Hotel.
After breakfast you check out of the Namib Naukluft Lodge or Namib Desert Lodge and travel back via the Remshoogte Pass to arrive at Kalahari Sands Hotel mid afternoon. The afternoon is yours at leisure.
