Stay at Kariega in one of 3 Luxury Lodges

Day 1 – 3: Kariega Garden Route Safari

This safari begins and ends in Port Elizabeth. The city has a large domestic airport that you can reach from anywhere in South Africa including daily scheduled flights from Joburg and Cape Town.

The road transfer from Port Elizabeth Airport takes about an hour and you should aim to arrive in time for lunch – your first feast of many – which you can round up with a doze and the afternoon/evening game drive.

Your days will be filled with fascinating wildlife and wilderness encounters: serene sunrise game drives, bush walks and afternoon safaris that stretch into the evening. Activities are conveniently punctuated with enormous meals and recuperation time by the pool, in your room or on the spa treatment bench.

Kariega is on the river and adds canoeing and boating to the array of exciting activities; Kariega also has fascinating links with the regional heritage and some excellent cultural activities.

Accommodation: Kariega Main lodge / Kariega Ukhozi Lodge / Kariega River Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Port Elizabeth

Bid your fond farewells after a morning game drive and one last breakfast. The lodge will transfer you back to Port Elizabeth Airport and the end of your fascinating Garden Route Safari.

Note: Although this is a three-night safari, you can shorten or lengthen it depending on your time and budget. And what's more, you can add this to an itinerary that goes to Victoria Falls, the Garden Route, Cape Town... you name it. Contact one of our expert consultants to design the perfect safari for you.
