This classic Namibia Safari concentrates on the Northern parts of Namibia. Escorted throughout by a professional guide and driver, this itinerary is ideal for guests who want to explore the beauty of Namibia, but would prefer to be guided as opposed to self drive. This tour comes in both a luxury and standard option. In Swakopmund there are a variety of activities that you optionally choose to do. From Swakopmund you will head towards Damaraland. Well known for being home to the endangered Desert Elephant and Black Rhino, the area is also known for having bushman etching and other Geological important such as the Organ Pipes, believed to be over 130 million years old.
From Damaraland you will travel to Etosha, the focal point of all Namibian Safaris, this National Park is home to 114 species of mammals as well as 340 species of birds. Game viewing in Etosha centres around the plains and pans where the animals come to drink. The barren landscape make this a fantastic game viewing destination.

Day 1: Windhoek, Kalahari Sands Hotel or Windhoek Country Club
Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport you will check in for your British Airways Flight BA 6275 departing from Johannesburg at 12h00. You are scheduled to arrive at Windhoek at 12h55 (Namibian Time). On arrival at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport you will be met by a representative who will welcome you to Namibia and the start of your Namibia Safari adventure.

Day 2: Swakopmund, Strand Hotel or Hansa Hotel
After breakfast you will depart for the popular holiday resort of Swakopmund, which nestles between desert dunes and the Atlantic Ocean.
Swakopmund is home to a variety of different activities including Dune Boarding, Boat Cruises and Quad Biking. The afternoon is at leisure for you to partake in your own particular adventures.

Day 3 : Damaraland, Igowati Lodge or Twyfelfontein Country Lodge
Today you will travel north to the fascinating lichen fields where over one hundred different species have been identified. You will visit Cape Cross, a seal reserve, home to 80,000 fur seals.
Our journey continues into
Damaraland, home of the Desert Elephant and Black Rhino, passing the Brandberg, the highest mountain in Namibia.

Day 4: Etosha, Etosha Garten Hotel or Epacha Game Lodge & Spa
Today you will explore the magnificent landscapes of the Huab River Valley, visiting the pre-historic rock art galleries at Twyfelfontein. The area is strewn with boulders, all dotted with thousands of engravings and ancient paintings, some dating back to 3300 B.C. Geological features in the area include the Organ Pipes, considered to be over 130 million years old, Burnt Mountain and the Petrified Forest.

Day 5: Etosha National Park, Mokuti Lodge or Epacha Game Lodge & Spa
Enter the famous
Etosha National Park, covering over 17 000 square kilometers, for a full day of game viewing. Herbivores such as zebra, elephant, giraffe, gemsbok and springbok abound.

Day 6: Etosha National Park, Mokuti Lodge or Onguma Tented Lodge
Full day of game viewing in the park - with the opportunity of sighting the black-faced Impala or Namibia’s smallest antelope, the Damara Dik-Dik.

Day 7 : Windhoek, Kalahari Sands Hotel or Windhoek Country Club
Today you will visit Lake Otjikoto one of only two natural lakes in Namibia. You will travel to the town of Tsumeb where copper,zinc, lead, silver and a variety of unusual crystals are mined and make a short stop at the museum. Visit the large open-air craft market at Okahandja, and continue on to Windhoek arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Day of Departure
Morning at leisure and midday departure to the airport for return flight to Johannesburg.
