Lion Encounter Vic Falls

Interact with unstrained and free roaming lions as they walk through the bush

Situated on the Masuwe Estate about 10 minutes from the centre of Victoria Falls you will find a group of lion cubs ranging in age from 3 - 16 months. " Walking with Lions' is an opportunity to interact with 2 or 3 cubs for up to an hour a half during a single sessions. The lions are unrestrained and roam free as you join them on a walk through riverine vegetation and Africa Bush on the banks of the Masuwe River.

• This activity takes place in both the early morning and late afternoon.
  
• You will be transfered from your hotel in Victoria Falls to the Lion Encounter area. This transfer takes about 10 minutes
  
• On arrival at Masuwe you will enjoy Tea and Coffee and snacks, whilst your guide will give you a short introductory talk including safety aspects of the adventure.
  
• You will then be walked to an isolated area in the bush where you will be introduced to the lion cubs and their handlers
  
• Each lion is under the charge of a handler
  
• The guide carries a first aid kit and is in communication with base with a handheld radio.
  
• Snacks are served when you return to Masuwe giving you an opportunity to watch and purchase the DVD of your adventures
  
• You will be transfered back to the hotel
  
• This activity operates in Victoria Falls but special arrangements can be made for guests staying in Livingstone
  
• Minimum Age of 16 and Minimum Height restriction of 1 metre 50 Centimetres.
