This full day tour leaves the city early morning, heading for Gansbaai, about two and a half hours drive from the city. After breakfast and a dive briefing you will board a boat for the 45 min trip to Dyer Island and Geyser Rock. Home to a large Cape Fur seal colony, it is here where the fun begins and the White Shark Diving takes place.

After a two and a half hour scenic drive to Gansbaai, you will enjoy a quick breakfast at ‘The Great White House’ where your dive master will give you a full briefing about the day’s procedures. After a 45 boat trip, you will anchor off Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, which boasts a large Cape Fur seal colony, the staple diet of the Great White Shark.
While watching the crew lure the sharks with chum to the boat, you will don your wetsuit (the water is cold) and the crew will lower the cage into the water when the first shark arrives.
You can enjoy a picnic lunch on board the boat, while waiting for the sharks or between dives, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It is important to note that this tour is working with wild animals so we cannot guarantee sightings.
