Departing Cape Town, we drive some 45 minutes into the heart of the Cape Winelands, through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. This is the perfect trip to give you an orientation of the Cape Winelands and ideal if you do not have time to visit and stay in this beautiful region.

This tour will allow you to discover the beauty and history of the Cape Winelands. In Paarl we visit the Afrikaans Taal Monument. Next we stop at the Victor Verster Prison where Nelson Mandela was released from detention in 1990. A scenic drive is taken to Franschoek Valley to visit the French Huguenots Memorial and call on many fine wine estates in the region. We cross the Helshoogte Pass and descend into historic Stellenbosch, centre of learning, rugby and wine industry.
For lunch, we stop at a local restaurant in Stellenbosch where the streets are lined with oak trees. After a short guided tour a unique shopping experience awaits you at the famous Oom Samie se Winkel.
No Time for a Full Day?
