Jeanne Crous, our super efficient Financial Manager, and her assistant accountant, Dannie and his clerk Carlo , collect payments, process deposits, pay suppliers and make sure that there are no financial hitches when you arrive on holiday. Dannie joined RhinoAfrica as the Assistant Accountant to keep our Financial Manager sane. More importantly he puts his Cost Accounting Diploma to good use by checking all the details of our systems to ensure a smooth operation for our employees and clients alike. An avid reader, Dannie likes to be around proactive people and his flair for numbers is complimented by a flair for ballroom dancing. Carlo is our friendly accounts assistant who deals with all the accounting admin and keeping the accounts department organised and manageable! He is taking a break from his studies while working for Rhino Africa and is going to continue studying his Accounting degree part-time. Besides his flair for numbers, Carlo is a fanatical sports supporter and spends many hours watching his favourite sports teams. Yolanda is our star Bookkeeper! She qualified as an executive secretary originally but her passion for all things numbers has led her to a career in accounts which she formalised with a diploma in Bookkeeping. She loves working with figures and managing the accounts and does a fine job of it! After hours she loves spending time with her family especially when it involves a long walk on the beach. Portia is our office cleaning chief! And I don’t say chief lightly…beware the employee that leaves their food in the fridge past the sell-by date! She makes sure that our offices are neat and tidy and that everything is where it should be. Good spirited and always up for a laugh, Portia has been known for practical jokes wherever the opportunity arises but is also always ready with a “rescue” cup of tea for anyone in need. Nceba is our maintenance man! He helps keep our expanding offices in shape and in working order. A happy-go-lucky character, Nceba, is always good for a smile and willing assistance to help out. An avid soccer fan, he supports South Africa’s favourite football team – the mighty Kaizer Chiefs! He used to play football himself and hopes to play again in the future. Nceba is also a keen music listener and loves to listen to KFM (a local Cape Town radio station) on his way to work in the mornings. Khaya is our security guard who makes sure that anyone working late gets to their cars safely and keeps a watchful eye over our premises and our employees. Khaya is a gentle giant who is very dedicated to his job and makes sure we are all safe and sound. He loves watching soccer on television and is also a keen supporter of South Africa’s top soccer team the Kaizer Chiefs. Khaya is also a very committed church goer and lives by his morals in a calm, kind and altruistic manner. But let anyone mess with any of the Rhino people or his family and there will be trouble!
