Chamilandu Bush Camp is something special. Situated on the fertile plains of the Luangwa River system in a remote corner of the 9050 sq km national park, it offers a secluded and exclsuive retreat. The main areas and the treehouses face out onto the water with 180° views of the river and Nchindeni Hills beyond. Many animals wander to and from the watering holes so the game viewing from your room and the dining area terrace is fantastic.

The dining area is simple - a large thatched area with expansive views of the lagoon. And there is a bar which can cater for all your drinking requirements. But the highlight is surely the chance to stay in the unique treehouse chalets, elevated 2m above the ground. Each has a private balcony with panoramic views over the region and there is a separate shower, toilet and handbasin. There is no electricity at camp, a blessing in disguise we think, and all lighting is rather rustic and romantic, provided by lanterns and candles.
