Designed to blend in with the surrounding natural environment, Kapinga Camp was built using as much as possible natural products, it's 'low-profile' seems to help when it comes to game viewing as most of the game hereabouts seem to ignore the camps presence altogether. With just four safari tents, which are of course spacious, en-suite and well furnished in safari fashion, the camp can accommodate only eight guests. But those eight are treated to a stylish and exclusive safari experience and are ensured personal attention.
The tents feature all modern conveniences, even fans, although with only a small generator to produce power, guests are asked to refrain from excessive use of the electricity. Out here who needs electricity anyway? The main areas are shaded by a green canopy of majestic trees and because they are all built on raised platforms the view across the plains is superb. Lively colours and stripes characterise the main area, comprising a lounge, dining area, camp fire and small pool under a shady tree.
Carefully hidden with the use of natural products all around this small and intimate safari camp blends so well into the surrounding natural environment as to be almost invisible to the game that passes by.

Activities at Kapinga
The Kafue National Park is home to thousands of red lechwe, ubiquitous puku, stately roan and sable antelope, as well as the diminutive oribi and blue duiker. Defassa waterbuck, herds of Lichtenstein's hartebeest, zebra and buffalo make for a full set of antelope. This wealth of game on the plains is also a big attraction for predators, with cheetah, leopard and African wildcat often seen, wild dog, pangolin, and caracal spotted occasionally, and prides of lion up to 20 strong. One can go in search of the wildlife on 4x4 game drives, day and night. Or you could hop aboard a motorboat and explore some of the waters in search of game, or try your hand at fishing. Another option is to pull on some good shoes and undertake a bush walk in the company of a knowledgeable guide.
