The most famous place to stay in Victoria Falls is without doubt the
Victoria Falls Hotel. Dating back to the turn of the last century and the age of steam travel the hotel is a Zimbabwean institution. The
Kingdom Hotel is a large resort hotel and whilst the hotel is large and loud it gets our vote for being value for money and very centrally located.
The smaller
Ilala Lodge is built close to the falls and its shady gardens give it an intimate feeling. Don’t forget that Victoria Falls is close to fantastic wildlife and game viewing. Head out of Victoria Falls Town for about 4 kilometres and you’ll find
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. A large African styled lodge with views of the waterhole where elephants and buffalo are often found drinking.
If your looking to go on safari then consider visiting
Matetsi Water Lodge which is 40 kilometres upstream of Victoria Falls. Each of the chalets has its own plunge pool and view of the Zambezi river. You can enjoy game drives, river cruises and canoeing – whilst day trip to Victoria Falls are available during the day.
