Toka Leya Camp | Information

Toka Leya Camp is situated in the western sector of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park slightly upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls. You can enjoy game viewing in the park with an abundance of antelope and other game. The lodge itself is as close to the Zambezi River as you can get - in the rainy season the rapids actually flow underneath the expansive deck! There is an infinity pool which stretches to the water's edge and provides great views of the river and its collection of wildlife and birds. There is a dining room and lounge area as well as a fully stocked bar to keep you plied with drinks during the day. Enjoy delicious meals on the sundeck and sample a crispy pizza from the woodfired oven!

Accommodation consists of 12 safari-style tents all with en-suite bathrooms and showers and private patios which face out onto the rushing river with its rapids and myriad islands. The interiors are cool and uncluttered with an earthy feel. Jackalberry, knobthorn and waterberry trees provide shade over the main camp while an ancient gnarled baobab tree frames the western side of camp. There is a recently opened spa which offers luxury treatments and if you are combining your pleasure with business, there are Conference facilities and a wireless Internet connection.

The Smoke that Thunders!

Known by the locals as Mosi-Oa-Tunya - 'The Smoke that Thunders' - Victoria Falls is one of the world's seven natural wonders and rightly so. The immense power of the falls crashing down onto the rocks creates a permanent spray in the air which looks like smoke from a distance, hence the name. Take a helicopter trip over the Falls, go on a guided tour, test your adrenalin by white-water rafting the Zambezi and test your hand at tiger fishing! In addition, spot wildlife on game drives in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, enjoy a sunset river cruise and visit traditional villages and craft markets. And what better place to come home to than your luxury lodge?
