Sussi Lodge & Chuma House are named after David Livingstone’s faithful friends and consists of an exclusive, upmarket lodge and two spacious cottages, both of which take full advantage of their enchanting river bank setting. In Sussi Lodge, accommodation consists of 12 luxury tree-houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank. Chuma House, on the other hand, consists of two well-appointed cottages each with two en-suite bedrooms. They offer the utmost in privacy and guests will have their own private chef and guide. Each unit is en-suite with air conditioning, mini bar, mosquito nets, overhead fan, hairdryer and private views of the Zambezi from its own deck. The main lodge building features a spectacular raised bar/lounge deck, open air dining area, swimming pool and lawns sweeping down to the water’s edge. A luxury spa is a new addition so spoil yourself with a treatment!
Resident wildlife, such as hippopotamus and elephant, is likely to wander through the lodge grounds at any time, since they have priority in the Mosi–oa–Tunya National Park. It really is Africa at its wildest with a wide choice of activities to enjoy this elegant, secluded retreat, including game drives, bush walks and visits to the Vic Falls.

Staying at Sussi & Chuma is a delight and meals and activities are included in the rates. Situated in the Mosi–oa–Tunya National Park, the game viewing is great and animals often wander through the grounds so you may not even have to leave your armchair. Other activities include guided tours of Victoria Falls and rainforest on the Zambian Side, a cultural tour of Livingstone, a shopping visit of Livingstone Town, early morning or sunset cruises or fishing on the Zambezi River. You really will not be short of things to do!
