Sindabezi Island is situated on the mighty Zambezi River upstream from Victoria Falls. It is a short boat ride from Tongabezi, its sister property and many travellers choose to stay at both lodges on their Vic Falls adventure. Removed from the hustle and bustle of Livingstone but still just half an hour away from the Falls themselves, Sindabezi really does provide that Robinson Crusoe style-stranded island experience. Except on a river, and not the sea!
The island only sleeps 10 people with 5 rustic thatched chalets. These chalets have their own private verandahs and open out onto the Zambezi River and its teeming collection of hippo, crocodiles, birdlife and other animals. There is no electricity on the island so you really can escape the rat race - lanterns and candles are a more than suitable replacement while wood fires and steaming bucket showers are the order of the day. You really can sample all the sights and sounds of the river from your private deck in the heart of wildest Africa.
Sindabezi Special: Save at least US$100 pp per night when you book 4 nights or more!
Escape to a private island on the Zambezi River and fall asleep to the sounds of hippo munching outside your thatched cottage. Sindabezi Island, the sister property to Tongabezi, offers this exclusive and amazing getaway!
