Nduara Loliondo operates in a very different way to most of the other camps in the Serengeti. Firstly, it is not in the Serengeti National Park itself but in the Loliondo Game Controlled Area, which is part of the massive Serengeti eco-system. This gives the camp freedom of movement throughout the area. And while National Park rules do not allow activities such as night drives and walking safaris, these are all possible in Loliondo.
Accommodation consists of six large yurts (Asian style nomadic huts) which move twice a year across Loliondo as the seasons change. Each yurt has its own bathroom with traditional safari bucket showers and short drop toilets. There is also a dining yurt and separate lounge/library yurt. The yurts are refreshingly cool during the day with wrap-around shade net windows with flaps that can be rolled up or down.
Nduara Loliondo is the most unique camp in the Serengeti with six big, beautiful Mongolian huts decorated with Maasai motifs and materials that move across the Serengeti plains in search of the best game viewing.
