Once you are in Tanzania, getting to the Serengeti will be the least of your worries. Contact us and we will organise every aspect of your journey.
Most visitors to the Serengeti tend to fly in directly to one of the private airstrips within the National Park.
Arusha is the gateway to the Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit, which includes
Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire Reserve and the Serengeti. From Arusha, you take a flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport, which is also serviced by international airlines. From there, it is a short 30 minute flight into the Serengeti with spectacular views over the plains.
By road, the road is a lot more uncomfortable and longer! It takes about eight hours to cover about 325km since the roads are pretty rough and ready. It is a very scenic drive which passes through
Lake Manyara National Park, over the Rift Valley Escarpment and through the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area before finally reaching the Serengeti and you enter Naabi Hill Gate. We recommend the flight!
NB: We can organise everything from your international flights to your domestic charters or road transfers. Don't stress out about planning your journey - leave it to us and we will ensure it is a pleasure.
