With so many website describing Sun City Hotel is very similar manner we thought at Rhino Africa to describe the Sun City Hotel is very real terms. The Sun City Hotel was Sun City resorts first hotel. Even today the hotel maintains much of the glitz and glamour for which the resort has become famous. A large, robust and a fantastically over the top hotel that pays homage to the architecture of the late 70’s the hotel is as popular now as it was 30 years ago ! Not our recommended hotel for those looking for peace and quiet.

The hotel is close to the Entertainment Centre and Casino – making it an ideal choice for hardened Gamblers and those that enjoy to be close to the action. The hotel also has a large number of ‘ one armed bandit machines’ and slots. Sun City Hotel is ideal for groups as it has a whopping total of 340 rooms, all of which live up to the high expectation created by the dramatic setting and impressive foyer of this lively hotel. The rooms are large and all the standard hotel rooms face the sparkling pool and are equipped with the facilities that you require. The suites and luxury rooms are larger with more facilities and large living spaces.

Sun City : Gardens

Many guests are literally ‘taken back’ by the Gardens at Sun City Resort. Sun City is like an oasis in the middle of dry Bushveld of the surrounding Pilanesberg . The thousands of trees and shrubs in the carefully landscaped gardens include tropical palms and cycads. The 25 ha gardens of the Lost City are a botanical dream world, depicting landscape themes, from the Wet Tropical Forests to the prehistoric atmosphere of the Baobab Junlgle. The immense task of establishing the gardens is illustrated by the fact that a 11 and 20 tonne Baobab were transported from Messina where they were threatened by road construction. At the Dwarf Rock Forest, stunted trees depict a semi desert scene – in contrast to the Orchid Forest where 500 orchid plants can be seen.
