Built on a hilltop Tshukudu Bush Lodge is the most exclusive lodge in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve offering only six luxury cottages. Each beautifully decorated cottage has a private balcony commanding spectacular views over the surrounding landscape. A unique feature of the cottage is the sunken bath which overlooks the plains below and a fireplace in the room to take the chill off the cold winter nights. At Tshukudu Bush Lodge personalised service and attention to detail is guaranteed.

Fully qualified rangers take guests on a journey to find the big five – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard – as well as pointing out some of the 80 species of wildlife and 360 species of bird. Tshukudu Bush Lodge is perfect for those looking to leave the trappings of city life behind, including their cars! Secure parking is available at the sister lodge, Bakubung, and guests are transferred to Tshukudu. The most strenuous activity guests will have to endure their entire stay is walking the 132 steps to the lodge, whereafter it is sheer pampering and luxury.

Pilanesburg National Park is the crater of a long extinct volcano and is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world
The area is fringed by three concentric rings or rings of hills which rise from the plains like a bubble and is a unique geological feature.
Early presence of man can be seen at the Stone and Iron age sites that are scattered throughout the park, which has survived ages of erosion.
