Crocodile Camp is just 12km from the small town of Maun in the Southern Okavango Delta. It is on the way towards the famous Moremi Game Reserve and thus can be used as a base for exploring the Southern part of the Delta as well as Moremi and Chiefs Island. Right on the banks of the Thamalakane river, the occassional hippo or crocodile can be seen wandering about while the area makes for a birdwatcher's haven.
There is a choice of chalets and camping for the more budget-conscious travellers. Delux Chalets have ensuite rooms, with wooden verandas, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and housekeeping. There are Standard Chalets which are very popular and have all the basic amenities. The camp grounds are beautifully maintained with a private swimming pool for residents and well renowned restaurant which serves highly recommended meals.
Nestled on the shores of the Thamalakane river, Crocodile Camp is the perfect halfway house as it is situated right on the edge of the Okavango Delta. Or you might like it so much that you decide to stay forever!

Pilot a Plane over the Delta!
You can take a ride in one of Crocodile Camp's two 6-seater aeroplanes - this provides an excellent opportunity to get a panoramic bird's eye of wild animals roaming the plains of the Delta. And you can even become the pilot! You can learn how to fly in a day and spend 45 minutes at the helm of the plane as you glide over the Delta!
