Chitabe Lediba Information

Chitabe Lediba is the sister lodge to Chitabe Camp, which is in a large private concession in the Okavango Delta bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. More intimate than its bigger sibling yet with the same high luxury and casual warmth, Chitabe Lediba overlooks an elephant-clogged waterhole. The five east-African style tents are raised on wooden platforms and shaded by a canopy of trees. The en suite bathrooms have additional outdoor showers and each room has a private viewing deck overlooking the floodplains.

The main lodge offers an inviting mix of cool thatch and comfortable sofas and features a plunge pool, an open lounge and a game-viewing deck; an intimate dining room completes the living arrangements. Game viewing activities consist of day and night game drives, game-viewing hides and nature walks, which give you a true sense of Africa and a profound respect for the natural world.

Lodge Highlights

  • Real and intimate camp in south-eastern Okavango
  • Private concession - great game-viewing and wildlife
  • Five private en-suite tented rooms with outdoor showers
  • Remote location overlooking waterhole and floodplains
  • Five-star service and all the modern luxuries

A wonderland of diversity

The habitats within the 28,000 hectare concession include shallow waterways, endless open floodplains and dense acacia woodland. The result is a startling diversity of wildlife and birds. Predators in the area include lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and wild dog; large mammals like elephant, hippo, buffalo, giraffe and zebra make up the vegetarian contingent.  Plains game such as reedbuck, kudu, impala, tsessebe, warthog and bushbuck are abundant by day; nocturnal wonders include the very rare pangolin, civet, genet, porcupine, serval, caracal and aardwolf.
