Seba Camp | Description

Seba Camp is situated in an ancient riverine forest within a private concession in the western region of the Okavango Delta. Peeking out from the forest and hovering above a large lagoon, the five tented rooms have light-coloured wood and clean lines giving a slight Scandinavian feel - there's nothing Nordic about the view though. Each tent is raised off the ground on a wooden platform and has an en suite bathroom and a private verandah overlooking the lagoon and floodplains beyond.

The main lodge is an airy expanse of timber and canvas; the pub and dining areas also look out over the lagoon. The camp is the centre for an elephant research project and a base for many wildlife documentary film-makers who are able to get footage of savannah woodland and permanent water from a single location.

Lodge Highlights

  • Casual and intimate camp in a dense riverine forest
  • Five comfortable tented suites, main lodge overlooking lagoon
  • Excellent game viewing and bird watching
  • Full range of Okavango Delta's famous wildlife activities
  • Base for many wildlife documentaries

Seba Camp: wildlife activities

Activities include mokoro cruises, water safaris, guided walks, game drives, night drives and bird watching. The wildlife is as diverse as the range of activities and the birdlife is spectacular with specials like Pel’s fishing owl, wattled crane, slaty egrets, pink-throated longclaws, African skimmers and jacanas. Plains game features highly on the agenda and you’re likely to see elephant, lion, zebra, red lechwe, giraffe, tsessebe and wildebeest on the floodplains; kudu, impala, leopard and bushbuck stick to the woodlands.
