Gunns Main Camp Information

Gunn's Camp is nestled beautifully in the Okavango wilderness overlooking the plains which are just teeming with wildlife. You can make your way to Ntswi Island along a small causeway crossing the waterways below. Leafy palms and ancient African Ebony trees merge to create an authentic African feel with a touch of the tropics.

The accommodation consists of seven fully furnished, deluxe Kenya-style meru tents with en-suite bathrooms set on raised platforms overlooking the delta plains. The honeymoon suite is built into one of the Ebony trees and demands unsurpassable views of the meandering waterways. Guests have access to the elevated bar, lounge and dining room, campfire boma and swimming pool.

Overnight Island Trips

Like all the other lodges in the region, they can organise mokoro trips and sunset cruises down the Delta. But what makes Gunn's unique is their island excursions. The camp managers will pack your mokoro with basic camping equipment and food so that you can set out with your own personal guide to find an island where you will set up camp. The evening will be spent preparing dinner around the campfire in the company of Africa's nocturnal wildlife. It's an opportunity not to be missed!

Gunn's Main Camp is accessible by small aircraft as the lodge has its own airstrip on Ntswi Island. It is just a 20 minute flight from Maun and Rhino Africa can organise charter flights on your behalf. Flights can be arranged from other lodges or from other airports.
