Luxurios GocheGanas outside WindhoekAbout half an hour's drive south of Windhoek, through rolling hills of acacia and softly swaying savannah grasslands, is a serene, luxurious, and spectacular lodge called GocheGanas – the new standard in Namibia for holistic wellness safaris. Rooms are palatial cottages, made of stone, thatch, and timber, that look out over the 6,000ha private nature reserve in Namibia's highlands. From the standard to the magnificent superior suites, all have been given a generous dusting of warmth and African style. Each chalet has a private balcony, a lounge area (complete with home entertainment centre), air conditioning, luxurious en suite bathrooms, extra-length beds, and total privacy. The GocheGanas nature reserve is being re-stocked with Namibian wildlife and there are now 25 species of large game including rhino, leopard, cheetah, caracal, giraffe, eland, kudu, Hartmann's mountain zebra, and Burchell's zebra. |
