Waterberg Plateau Park Resort |
||
Description of Waterberg Plateau Park ResortFar from the world's idea of resorts - with Ferris wheels, mini golf, and seven different themed restaurants - the Waterberg Plateau Park Resort is a lodge that is run by the state-owned Namibia Wildlife Resorts. Enjoying the benefits of a recent big-money facelift, the resort comprises chalets of varying size in a large landscaped garden shaded by some impressive stands of acacia trees. The décor of the revamped rooms looks new but remains a trifle uninspiring and a little out of place; the location, however, cannot be bettered. At the foot of the plateau and looking out over an impossibly far horizon, the Waterberg Plateau Park Resort thrives on its setting alone. Room types including family chalets, premier suites, bush chalets with two and four beds, double rooms, and there is also a camping ground for the intrepid adventurer. The main complex has a buffet restaurant, a bar, a small shop, and the swimming pool. |
