Description of Namib Naukluft Lodge in NamibiaThe Namib Naukluft Lodge is comfortable and inviting lodge in a private reserve near the crossroads town of Solitaire and about 80km from Sesriem – the entrance to Sossusvlei. The 16 adobe-style rooms are painted red ochre and have private patios that overlook the spectacular desert scenery. Behind you is a large granite outcrop that rewards its climbers with something almost impossible: an even better view than the one from your room. The main lodge features an Evian-clear pool that, being in the desert, is a rather important feature at that. Inside is a cool-by-day, cosy-by-night lounge, bar and dining area. The reserve covers 13,000ha and offers memorable hikes, nature drives and a constant barrage of spectacular views. |
