Information About Farm KoiimasisFarm Koiimasis, one of four farms making up the Tiras Mountains Conservancy, is a tranquil desert escape in the vast emptiness of southern Namibia. The conservancy, which covers an area of 125,000ha, lies on the edge of the Namib-Naukluft Park between the Fish River Canyon Sossusvlei, and Lüderitz. Blue-grey mountains, buttercup-yellow plains, and rust-red granite inselbergs give this private conservancy a scenic attraction that mixes well with the interesting indigenous plants including the quiver tree and several Nama Karoo succulents. Accommodation on Farm Koiimasis comes in a variety of shapes and sizes including exclusive campsites, a rustic cottage, and exclusive en suite chalets. All are built into and around the massive rocks and the views are permanently stupendous. Your hosts, Wulff and Anke, ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxed with good food, pleasant company, and a comfortable room in which to enjoy the total peace and quiet of the world's oldest desert. |
