The style, decorative innovation and attention to detail at Mushara Lodge, the older and more modest sibling to Villa Mushara, create a somewhat understated air of sophistication. A large pool forms the centre piece around which ten equally grand chalets are spread. Built of stone and thatch, each room is spacious and well-appointed with en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and mini bars. Enormous purple-pods provide shade and lend an air of dignity to the decadent goings-on below.

The living area is cosy, welcoming and conducive to a state of catatonia. A fireplace in winter – the best time to be game viewing – casts its mesmerising light over russet-toned fabrics, dark wood beams and screens, wicker-weave Morris chairs, and plump leather sofas.

The eastern gate of Etosha National Park is a few minutes' drive from the lodge and the daily highlight of your stay – after the food, wine, and complete relaxation. Wild animals keep the lawn trim and you can take yourself on many nature walks around the lodge. Daily guided game drives into Etosha will reveal the fascinating world of the African bush and at the many waterholes and springs, exceptional game viewing is almost guaranteed.

Ongava Tented Camp

Ongava Tented Camp is a rustic and intimate lodge in a private reserve that shares its northern border with Etosha National Park. Seven walk-in tented suites look out over the reserve and the spacious main lodge has a well-attended water hole in front of it.

Villa Mushara

You may be reluctant to leave your day bed beside your pool at Villa Mushara, but we recommend you take one or two game drives into Etosha National Park, about ten minutes away, with your personal game ranger.
