Halali

Halali in Etosha National Park

Along with the other two places to stay inside Etosha National Park – Okaukuejo and NamutoniHalali is undergoing major refurbishments as the state-owned Namibia Wildlife Resorts continues to modernise its flagging portfolio of accommodation.   Halali is roughly halfway between the eastern and southern gates to the park making it a good stopover in both directions.

The lodge is at the bottom of one of very few hills around Etosha Pan and it overlooks a floodlit waterhole.  Offered in a range of sizes and levels of comfort, the air conditioned, en suite rooms are spacious with sliding doors that open onto a verandah and the great park beyond. The main complex houses the restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and a small shop.

Halali: game viewing inside the Etosha National Park

Being one of three lodges inside Etosha National Park, your accommodation and game viewing experiences will be exclusive. The gentle walk up the hill behind Halali delivers a never-ending view of the vast Etosha Pan; the waterhole in front of the lodge is floodlit for rare sightings of Africa's nocturnal creatures who carry on oblivious of the camp only metres away; game drives are enhanced by the experienced guides and custom-made safari vehicles; and a new feature is the exciting night drive, which most national parks in southern Africa disallow.

  • 61 en suite chalets of various sizes
  • Overlooking a waterhole
  • Air-conditioning
  • Restaurant
  • Bar
  • Swimming pool
  • Shop
  • Filling station and airstrip
  • Camping ground
