Staying at lodges in Etosha allows you the opportunity to see Namibia's greatest concentration of game. Well known for the 5000sq km salt pan this area attracts a large number of plains game.
Etosha has a wide selection of lodges. Choose from private lodges outside the park such as Onguma and Ongava which offer daytrips into Etosha, or overnight in Namibia Wildlife Resorts accommodation such as Halali, Namutoni or Okaukeujo where you can watch the watering holes at night.

Etosha is a National Park and Namibia Wildlife Resorts has 3 camps within the National Park. These are called
Namutoni,
Halali, and
Okaukeujo respectively, and whilst the accommodation is simple, the advantages of staying at one of these lodges is that you can sit at the watering holes throughout the night and watch the animals come and go. Its for this reason, that despite their simple accommodation status, we often include them in a luxury or standard tour.
The other Etosha lodges that we frequently use and recommend are the Onguma and Ongava Private Game Reserves. These private reserves are adjacent to the Etosha National Park and run daytime game drives into Etosha, but evening game drives and bush walks can be enjoyed on the private concession. Naturally lodge accommodation is more luxurious and more suited for guests looking for more creature comforts. Our favourite private camps include
Onguma Tented Camp,
Little Ongava Camp &
Ongava Lodge.
