The Caprivi Strip is a thin strip of land that separates Botswana and Angola. Once the scene of much fighting, this area is a vastly un-explored area with superb game viewing and birding opportunities.
Look and the Caprivi Strip map and you will see that if it were not for the Caprivi Strip, Namibia would be a cartographers dream and a very regularly shaped country. Incorporated into Namibia under German rule when it linked Namibia with Tanzania and the Indian Ocean beyond.
