Description of Mahangu Safari Lodge in NamibiaMahangu Safari Lodge is well situated for exploring the Caprivi Strip in Namibia, the Okavango Delta and Chobe in Botswana, and Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Situated on the Kavango River, which forms the Okavango Delta, Mahangu Safari Lodge is a comfortable camp that is delightfully eclectic in its rendition of an African theme: an impressive array of patterned fabrics, African crafts, hunting trophies, and animal hides has been assembled in the bungalows and main living area of Mahangu Safari Lodge. Mahangu Safari Lodge has seven double bungalows and four Meru-style safari tents; the tents, while retaining all the comforts of the bungalows including air conditioning and en suite bathrooms, offer a slightly more intimate experience with the African wilderness than their stone-and-mortar counterparts. The living area, overlooking the river and shaded by a canopy of jackalberry trees, comprises the restaurant, two large sun decks, and the swimming pool. |
