Combining Namibia, Botswana and Victoria Falls allows you to fully appreciate the diversity of the area from a geographical perspective/
- Consider combining your Namibian tour with time in the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls - why come this far and not see all that this area has to offer ?
- There are three weekly flights from Victoria Falls to Windhoek
- Our Caprivi and Etosha Tour travels by road between Windhoek and Victoria Falls
- Many Overland Tours travel throughout Namibia and Botswana and end in Zambia or Zimbabwe!
- These countries contain a strong safari element and take you off the beaten track.
The distances are vast, the countries huge, and definitely worthy of their own trips, but some people feel that they are coming this far that they are going to pack them all in. This is how we recommend you do it ! At first glance Namibia is a country of Desert and a first time visit would usually include time at Sossusvlei, from here you would proceed to Botswana for a few days in the Delta, before continuing to Victoria Falls. From Victoria Falls you continue to Cape Town before heading to the Kruger for a final safari experience.

If you do plan to incorporate
Victoria Falls,
Namibia and
Botswana into a Southern Africa it does require really good planning and for thought.
Between them Namibia and Botswana are a unique and contrasting combination of two of the most beautiful countries in the world. Explore the wide open spaces of Namibia, taking in the awe – inspiring dunes of
Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert, the stark beauty of the Damaraland and the wildlife rich area of
Etosha. Compare this with the another world entirely the lush green waterways of the
Okavango Delta , the Linyanti and Savuti area famed for its prolific wildlife in a variety of vastly differing habitats. The activities provide a wide range of differing impressions, from Mokoro rides on the meandering Okavango Delta Channels , game viewing in the vast white expanses of the
Etosha Pans to hiking
Damaraland , to walking in the Namib’s Dunes.
Air Namibia operates 3 flights a week between
Windhoek –
Maun and
Victoria Falls. Operated in a small plane these are extremely popular and fill up very quickly. It is absolutely essential that you book well in advance for these flights as availability is very limited. Another option is to charter a flight, but this does become expensive and is therefore only suitable for small groups or for guests looking for the ultimate luxury safari experience. Traveling by road is not really an option unless it is part of a scheduled group transfer. Bear in mind that it is sometimes necessary to return to Johannesburg before continuing for the rest of your trip, we try to avoid this whenever possible, but sometimes this is unavoidable.
