Kosi Forest Lodge is something special. As the only private lodge in the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve, it ensures guests an exclusive and exceptional experience. Set in a beautiful sand forest on the banks of the Kosi Lake, it provides panoramic views of the wilderness and is a perfect vantage point to explore the surrounds. Go canoeing down the lakes and estuaries, spotting wildlife along the way, visit pristine beaches, go horseriding and much more.

Accommodation consists of 16 thatched bush suites woven beautifully into the natural surroundings whilst still ensuring a private and intimate stay. The rooms are raised on a wooden deck with panoramic views of the lakes below. The romantic en-suite bathroom is open-air and well-appointed with a dressing room and separate bath and shower. And there is a swimming pool so you can catch a tan or take a dip during the heat of day.

Kosi Forest Lodge is positioned in a rather unique and spectacular setting. The Kosi Bay Nature Reserve is part of the St Lucia Wetlands, now a World Heritage Site which offers the chance to spot crocodiles, hippos and more along the teeming estuary. The 11,000ha reserve is 30km-long and incorporates the beautiful Kosi Bay lake system - clear water, marshland, swamp and coastal forests play home to fish, birds, crocs, hippos and an array of flora and fauna. And you can explore this paradise on a canoe trip, a river cruise, a horse ride or just simply kick back on the beach and have a holiday!
