Like it's sister camp Zululand Tree Lodge, Zululand Safari Lodge offers affordable and very comfortable accommodation in the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve. A relaxed and laid back atmosphere permeates the air here and it is an ideal situation for families and large groups. There are 20 African style rondavels with a clean and crisp interior. Large beds are draped with hanging mosquito nets and each unit has it's own private verandah and 'braai' area.

It gets rather hot in Zululand, sweltering in fact, which is why you will apprecaite the large main swimming pool where you can relax, chill out on a lounger or dive in to chase away the heat. When you get hungry, never fear hunger can be abated in the evenings around a camp fire in the main boma or if the weather does not allow, dinner is served in the restuarant which overlooks the reserve and a small waterhole. The cuisine is a variety of dishes all served in the buffet style and ostrich, impala or some other sort of venison will tantalize the safari tastebuds!

Game Reserves

Ubizane Wildlife Reserve boasts a variety of game, including white rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, most species of antelope, and over 350 species of birdlife. You can choose to view the game on foot, by horseback or from the comfort of a safari vehicle. Adjacent to Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is the renowned Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest in Africa, where the big-5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) roam the bush and daily game drives are conducted from Safari Lodge into this reserve.
