Thula Thula Private Game Reserve offers an exclusive wildlife encounter in the Kwazulu province and Thula Thula Safari Lodge together with the Thula Thula Luxury Tented Camp offer stylish and luxurious accommodation within the reserve. At "Elephant Safari lodge" their are only 8 luxury thatched chalets which means an exclusive and intimate stay is gauranteed for all visitors. Known for its superb cuisine you can choose to enjoy your meals by candle light in the dining room, around the pool, on the verandah, or in the boma for a traditional bush barbecue under the African sky! And even more appealing to the palate is the walk-in wine cellar, which offers a fine selection of international and South African wines. If wine isn't your thing you could choose to indulge in an exotic cocktail served at the "Marula bar" and after you can relax in the lounge with it's view over the waterhole where game come to quench their own thirst.

Thula Thula Private Game Reserve

Thula Thula, the oldest private game reserve in Kwazulu Natal, once part of the private hunting grounds of legendary Zulu King Shaka, founder of the Zulu Empire, is today home to the Big 4 with buffalo, elephant, rhino, leopard, giraffe, hyenas, crocodile, nyala, kudu, wildebeest, zebra and many more, as well as 370 species of birds ,including raptors. Game walks are guided by experienced trackers and allow you to get closer and more in touch with nature. Game drives are conducted in open landrovers by professional and knowledgeable rangers. Many additional attractions are available on request: Massage Therapy, St Lucia Estuary boat cruises, Zulu Cultural Village, Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game reserve (Cengeni Gate), Indian Ocean Beaches, Whale watching (From June to October), 18 Hole Golf Course, Anglo-Zulu Battlefields.
