The Mkuze Falls Lodge is situated in the heart of the historic Zululand in Kwazulu Natal. The lodge consists of 8 thatched chalets, and one luxurious safari suite. The reserve is only one of two Private Game Reserves in the region where you can view the ‘ Big Five’ – Lion, Leopard, Buffalo , Rhino and Elephant and for bird lovers, nearly 400 species of birds are resident.

The Mkuze Falls Lodge has a central complex built on raised wooden platforms with spacious verandas. The facilities include a dining room, a comfortable lounge, an indoor pub, a shady terrace and a swimming pool. The large lounge leads onto a spacious viewing deck with is built over the sloping riverbank. This verandah provides panoramic view of the winding Mukuze River and the wild, untamed landscape beyond. For those looking to cool off, uou can under the shady palms trees and take a refreshing swim in the private plunge pools or shower under the stars in the outside shower.

Zululand Hospitality

Highly experienced kitchen and waiting staff have been trained to indulge and delight the most discerning guest. The menu varies daily and features a host of South African dishes including local venison specialities. In fine weather dinner, or a traditional South African ‘braai’ or barbeque is served in the Boma. In the evenings the dinner is announced by the beating of the African Drums. After dinner you will often times be entertained by energetic Zulu Dancers who enjoy showing guests this important and integral part of their cultural and history.
