Phinda Zuka Lodge Description

Phinda Zuka is an exclusive-use lodge that offers high luxury, total seclusion and a complete immersion into the African bush that surrounds this spectacular safari lodge. Rough sandstone walls, timber finishes, thatch roofing and cool sea-breeze colours set the scene for a calming escape into nature. The lodge has four separate chalets overlooking a waterhole.

Each suite has an en suite bathroom of shrine-like proportions, enormous bedrooms with air conditioning and ceiling fans, separate sitting areas and private game-viewing decks. The living area features a dressed-down café-style kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, comfortable lounge, private study and a swimming pool surrounded by wooden decking, loungers and overlooking that ever-active waterhole.

Overlooking a waterhole, the lodge brings much of the reserve's diverse wildlife to its doorstep. Safaris are tailored to your daily requirements in consultation with your personal ranger and his able tracker. The game reserve has won accolades for its conservation and community involvement; it features seven distinct habitats and borders the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Reserve. Activities include private game drives, walking safaris, boating safaris, scuba diving, bird watching and ocean safaris. Wildlife includes the 'big five', 380 species of bird, many rare species of animal and an incredible diversity of habitats.
