Phinda Getty House Description

With a back garden that covers 3,500 hectares of wilderness, Phinda Getty House takes exclusivity to uncharted realms. The walls are made of large masoned sandstone bricks and the high thatch roof, pan-African décor and cool fabrics give an air of restrained splendour. All restraint is lost, however, when you consider the villa's location: overlooking an extinct volcano crater, the verdant rolling hills of South Africa's finest game reserve radiate from this centrepiece of luxury and grace.

The house has four palatial suites – in full finery and complete with en suite bathroom and additional outdoor showers – with large windows and sliding doors that open onto a private deck. The living area is a double volume den and your private butler and chef will see to every conceivable need.
