Rattray’s on MalaMala is an elegant lodge with modern amenities and contemporary finishes. The lodge has been built in the traditional farmstead style with low-angled corrugated iron roofs, colonnaded walkways and massive verandahs. Rattray’s on MalaMala: exclusive river frontage

Rattray’s on MalaMala has 20km of exclusive river frontage in one of South Africa’s most famous private game reserves.   The MalaMala Private Game Reserve shares 19km of fenceless border with the Kruger Park and covers 16,000 hectares; the Sand River winds its way through the reserve attracting high numbers of game.  In addition to fascinating insight into the trees, reptiles and smaller creatures, frequent wildlife sightings include lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant, numerous antelope species, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hyena, jackal and the endangered wild dog and cheetah.
