Londolozi Pioneer Camp Information

Londolozi Pioneer Camp feels like an elegant bushveld home from home. The inviting kitchen adorned with old-style crockery, cutlery and cooking implements is open to the indoor and deck dining areas, allowing for interaction between guests and chefs preparing fresh, innovate cuisine before their eyes. Londolozi Pioneer Camp comfortable living areas feature antiques and Africana, books about the region and welcoming sofas and armchairs. An elegantly contours lap pool is reached by steps leading down from the guest areas, and an intimate boma is the setting for elaborate lamp and fire lit dinners.

Three suites in a secluded bush location include an elegant bedroom & sitting room with candlebra on standby for that romantic, relaxing bath before a memorable dinner in the boma. Each suite has a private sala for quite moments spent listening to the sounds of the bush. Three classic safari style chalets have river views from the spacious bedrooms and verandahs, they also contain ensuite bathrooms and outdoor showers. Londolozi consists of three other camps. Londolozi Tree Camp is the top of the range camp, Londolozi Varty Camp is the largest of the camps, Londolozi Founders camp has a total of 6 rooms..

Londolozi : Leopards of Londolozi

Several years ago a Londolozi Ranger called Lex Hes published a book called the Leopards of Londolozi. The book documented in words and photographs the life of a ‘ mother leopard’ and her various sets cubs. To this day rangers and trackers still track and follow descendants of this leopard. Leopards are frequently found by skilled trackers who scan the sand for spoor footprints and listen for characteristic alarm calls of monkeys and squirrels. Superb photographic opportunities frequently present themselves at Londolozi, as leopards feed or lounge in trees, move alongside open Land Rovers, or stretch their limbs on termite mounds.
