Middle Earth and the Elvish realm will come flooding to meet you through the verdant light of a lush forest while the river gurgles beneath you at Serenity Forest Eco Reserve. In all there are 10 luxurious suites with beautiful organic design elevated into the tree canopy. The six forest suites are suspended above the river beneath a thick forest and connected by aerial walkways; the three lakeside suites are on the edge of a small dam surrounded by forest and mountain views; the luxury suite is deep in the forest at the water's edge and totally secluded.

The living area at Serenity Forest Eco Reserve is a stylish designerly elevation surrounded by a deck abutting the trees and with wrap-around letter-box views into the forest. Meals are decadent haute cuisine in a variety of romantic settings; and what would a serene forest eco-lodge be without an extensive range of wellness treatments.

Visit the Kruger Park only 15 km from the lodge or explore the 1300ha reserve with its streams, waterfalls, forests, mountains and open grasslands. Trails have been laid down and the birdlife is prolific. Sundowner drives yield spectacular views across the valley towards the Kruger Park and, if you manage to walk quietly, there are several small antelope and nocturnal creatures to see. The area is full of activity from elephant-back safaris to golf with zebra on the fairway to balloon safaris. But with such tranquillity and beauty around you it might be preferable to lie motionless, contemplating life, until the moss grows between your fingers.
