Pestana Kruger Lodge General InformationThe Pestana Kruger Lodge is a large-ish hotel overlooking the Crocodile River on the edge of the Kruger Park. Its 74 rooms are divided into semi-detached units and spread out through a landscaped 22ha sub-tropical garden and indigenous bush. Rooms have en suite bathrooms, the standards having showers only; air conditioning; bar fridges, stocked on request; satellite (cable) TV; complimentary tea and coffee; telephone; safe; hair dryer and complimentary toiletries. Pestana Kruger Lodge has bistro, surrounded by a crocodile-infested moat, at the entrance to the grounds; a restaurant inside the hotel serves à la carte dinners and lunches and the bar has an open deck with a splendid view across the river and into the Kruger Park itself. Outdoor dining is a feature in the boma with a campfire and romantic lighting making way for the stars of the African sky. The hotel has three swimming pools – one indoor and heated, a health spa, table tennis and many other activities for the whole family including a telescope and star charts. |
