Nkomazi Game Reserve spans 17 000ha of malaria free wilderness in Mpumalanga province, on the western border of Swaziland. It is about halfway between Johannesburg and Kruger National Park, and thus makes an ideal stopover on your Big Five safari. The game reserve is due to open to guests in April 2009 and offers an exclusive getaway, far removed from crowds of tourists.

Guests will stay at Komati Tented Lodge, consisting of 12 luxury suites nestled along the banks of the Komati River. Each tented suite is private and intimate with its own spacious sun deck and plunge pool, as well as an extra large king size bed, comfort cooling/heating and en-suite shower with an outdoor bath. For the utmost in luxury there is a Royal Suite which comes with its own private lounge tent and outdoor fire pit.

Each suite is connected to the main lodge on a cleared pathway, ensuring you have the utmost privacy. In the main lodge, there is a dining tent, which serves an array of local and international cuisine, as well as an outdoor boma dining area. The lounge is spacious and comfortable with its own viewing deck, ideal for spotting the wildlife that wanders through the camp.
