As you travel into the cool of the forest country, deeper and higher, far into the mountains you will find Cybele Forest Lodge and Health Spa. Three hundred acres of African paradise, living forest, mountains and meadows. Cybele is situated between White River and Hazyview, in the heart of Mpumalanga. It is 40 km from the Phabeni Gate of Kruger National Park and very close to the Private Game Reserves in the Sabi Sands area.

The Lodge has a number of different styles of accommodation, all of which have en-suite bathrooms, some with gardens and private plunge pools. To guarantee peace and quiet and personal attention, accommodation is only limited to 28 guests. All the suites and cottages have been individually decorated and furnished and have walled gardens with views over the mountain and heated pools for your exclusive use. Cottages have immaculate bathrooms and bedrooms with heated floor, private walled gardens with sun beds and chairs. All suites have private heated swimming pools and poolside sun beds. If privacy is what you are looking for, try the Forest Suite. It is separate from other accommodation, extremely spacious and has spectacular mountain views, mini bar, private swimming pool and air conditioning.

This haven of hospitality is set in the mountain forests near the Mpumalanga game reserves, between Hazyview and White River. It is an exclusive retreat from which to explore the nearby Kruger National Park and Private Game Reserves.

The surrounding 120 hectares feature a river stocked with trout, a waterfall, stables and forest walks. The cottages are surrounded by lush gardens. Cocktails are served on the colonial-style veranda. Well prepared delicious meals and award winning Cape wines can be enjoyed in the candlelit dining room or in the garden with spectacular mountain views. Furnished throughout with antiques, art and exquisite fabrics, the main house is a most relaxing place to read a book, to browse through one of the many current magazines from all over the world - or to enjoy a drink before sampling the Lodge's cuisine.
