Lion Sands River Lodge DescriptionLion Sands has been family owned and managed since 1932. It is a Big 5 safari area, which is private and exclusive to Lion Sands guests only. To allow for a completely tailor-made experience, Lion Sands offers unique safari based activities to make your stay a memorable and spiritual experience. The River Lodge is built on the Sabie River which forms part of the largest river system within the greater Kruger Park reserve. The 18 luxurious, thatched bedrooms all have an en-suite bathroom, outdoor & inside shower & wooden viewing deck – all overlooking the river. The bedroom area is air-conditioned with an overhead fan. All rooms have mini-bar & telephone access. The rooms are linked to all areas by raised wooden walkways. The lodge comprises of a private lounge and bar, 2 swimming pools, wooden viewing decks, a secluded bird hide, private hammocks, conference room, health spa, curio shop & both an indoor and open-air (Boma) dining area.
